Living in the RV and traveling to different places has been the best decision we ever made. We are seeing the real America — the places where people live and work. In Florida, all the state parks have a sign that reads, “Thank you for visiting the real Florida.” I like that statement because it is true. You have to get away from the crowds and tourist attractions to see the real countryside.

Sometimes it is in the most remote places where we are the most awed. The fresh air, the beautiful scenery, and the peacefulness calm us, give us a feeling of contentment, and validate our decision to become full-time RVers. I am so glad we have chosen this lifestyle and been given the opportunity to see the places we have seen.

We have been from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean and now down to the Gulf. We have been to so many places and seen so many cool things. I am sad I didn’t write about all of them from the beginning, but now I am committed to writing about them from this point forward.

We don’t spend a lot of money. Most all the places we visit are free. Driving down a back road or stopping at a small park are wonderful ways to get a feel for the place you are visiting.
