We took the granddaughters on a day trip. We headed east on Highway 30 in Ohio to 75 North while they watched “The Little Mermaid” movie on Disney.

We crossed the Michigan state line and stopped at the Welcome Center for a bathroom break.

Our first stop of the day was the Luna Pier Lighthouse, located just off I-75 on the eastern shore of Lake Erie. Parking was $4 for one hour but it was well worth it. The “sand” at the beach was mostly crushed shells.
