Questions About Following

Seeking answers about Medium

I spent the weekend going through my follower and following lists here on Medium. My purpose is to spend more time supporting other writers by reading, highlighting, and clapping.

Going through my list of followers showed me a lot of great writers that I currently do not follow and that I wanted to, so as I read one or two of their stories, I clicked the follow button. I do not usually just blindly click the follow button on other writers without at least going and checking to make sure they actually write things. Some people are here just as readers.

Eventually, I wasn’t able to follow any more fellow writers. I quickly assumed that there must be a limit to how many people you can follow each day, and figured I would just continue my process today of checking out new writers to follow.

I can’t follow anybody today either.

So, what’s the deal? I have searched for articles on Medium rules and I am not finding anything that tells me what the rules are on following.

Does anybody know? Are there articles you can send me to for understanding this process?

There are so many great writers on this platform, and I’m sure I will never find them all, but why am I limited? I see other writers who have 10K…
