When You Live in an RV

Since we moved out of a sticks and bricks house and into an RV full-time traveling around the country, the last thing on our minds is the news.

We were faithful watchers of the morning news every weekday while getting ready for work. It didn’t matter if we turned on CBS, ABC, or whatever channel, it was always the same depressing stuff. Every evening we felt the need to turn on the evening news just to see if anything important happened during the day.

It was like a routine that just became a habit.

Living in the motorhome has helped us create new routines that do not include television — especially the news. When we get up in the morning, the first thing on our minds is a pot of coffee and the weather outside our door. It is relaxing to walk out the door with a fresh cup of hot coffee in hand, breathe in fresh air and sit down in a comfortable rocking lawn chair.

We are much more interested in seeing what kind of wildlife will grace our yard each day than we are in whatever might be happening around the world.

Will it be the five-foot long alligator sunning on our dock,
