Friday — April 7, 2023

This morning I weighed 262.8 pounds.

Breakfast

I drank two cups of black coffee and sprinkled some real cinnamon spice in it. Cinnamon helps reduce inflammation. It has anti-inflammatory properties. Adding a teaspoon of real cinnamon spice to foods or drinks once per day can curb pain caused by inflammation. I didn’t eat any food.

Medication

The only medication I took this morning was 40mg of Nadalol. I used to take Propranolol for years because of my anxiety and nervousness. I had a few severe panic attacks caused by pain and being scared and was put on the Propranolol at that time.

I didn’t have much weight gain, but when we retired one year ago and lost our factory insurance, the new marketplace insurance refused the Propranolol and switched me to the Nadalol. One of the main side effects I found of Nadalol is weight gain.

I have not felt good since switching to that medication and have gained a lot of weight over the past year. I want to blame it on the medicine, but feel like it’s also my fault for not taking better care of myself.
