Living on Baffin Bay

Baffin Bay is about 70 miles south of Corpus Christi, Texas. It is an inlet of the larger Laguna Madre, which is a long lagoon separating the mainland from Padre Island, with Baffin Bay being one of its main extensions.
We are camping in Loyola Beach, Texas, north of Riviera Beach. Our campground is situated on the Cayo del Grullo, which is a northern finger of the Baffin Bay. There are actually three fingers that extend from the main bay water. South of Riviera is the Laguna Salada finger, and east of us is the Alazan Bay finger.
Roads are limited here. There is limited access to the water without driving some distance. The first place we can get to the water is a little beach with no name at the end of S County Rd 1150. This beach area is within walking distance. The…
