Indiana Dunes National Park

On the Southern Tip of Lake Michigan

We spent a week exploring the shores of Lake Michigan and seeing lighthouses. Day one was from Grand Haven south to New Buffalo. This day was spent from Gary, Indiana back up to New Buffalo.

We started this day at the Indiana Dunes National Park Visitor Center so I could get my National Park Book stamped.

From the visitor center we headed to West Beach in Gary, Indiana. It is quite a walk to see the water. Then we headed to Marquette Park. This is a beautiful spot to park and walk along the lake.

The Aquatorium is a neat old bath house event building just down the road from Marquette Park that is cool to explore. The grass and weeds have grown so tall it feels…
