The general rule for wearing socks is that you should match the color of your socks to your pants, not your shoes.

I don’t wear pants or shoes anymore, so there is no need for me to wear socks anymore either.

I tend to have a sensory sensitivity to wearing socks. The feeling of socks on my feet is uncomfortable and constricting.

It’s not that I think being barefoot is more fashionable, it’s just that I prefer the feeling of my feet being bare. Socks are restrictive and hot, and make my feet sweaty.

When I was young, everyone associated me with being barefoot. I was barefoot and pregnant. I have rarely worn shoes and socks over the years. And now, Rich and I tend to stay in warm climates and we really don’t need to wear shoes and socks with our current lifestyle.

There are benefits to walking barefoot on soft surfaces, such as carpeted flooring, grass, or sand. Walking on these surfaces helps improve circulation which increases the nourishment of nerves, muscles, and bone of the foot and helps minimize swelling of the lower extremities.

I love the feel of the grass or sand on my feet. I scrunch my toes into the ground and enjoy the feeling of connecting with nature. I need to feel the earth beneath my feet. I…
