Changing Climates Can Result in Sickness
From Heat to Air in One Day
Yes, Rich and I have both acquired some kind of respiratory sickness. I blame the change in the weather more than anything. I know a lot of people do not believe that changes in the weather and temperatures can make you sick, but there really is some truth to it.
As we traveled from Florida to Texas we encountered multiple temperatures and weather issues. It was cold in the mornings at Florida and got up to about 70 or 75 during the day. As we headed west we encountered wind and rain. We stop regularly along the way and have to go outside to take the dogs out and fill the gas tank. We try to keep the temperature in the motor home stable but that is hard to do when traveling.
By the time we got to the Texas state line it was foggy. Humidity, moisture, and temperature were all different than we were used to. The first morning we were parked in our spot was warm and breezy, very breezy off the gulf. Afternoon temperatures were in the 80’s and humid so the air conditioner was turned on. Today it is only 50 degrees as we wake up and chilly outside. The furnace is running. No wonder we are both congested, blowing our noses, and coughing up phlegm.
