It is 6:30 am and Rich is biting at the bullet to get going. Here in the RV park it is “quiet time” until 7 am. We are 95% ready to go with the noisiest part of preparing to leave waiting until 7. Being considerate of other people is one of Rich’s strongest qualities.

Sometimes the duck hunters on the lake start popping off their shots before 7, which is annoying because it makes our two little dogs bark, but Rich stated if the guns go off he is starting up. Bringing in the slides is fairly quiet, but the side slide lock arms seem to always make a loud popping noise when they lock in place. And getting the car loaded on the dolly is anything but quiet.

Oof!

Speak of the devil, there it goes. That was louder than usual. Those hunters are closer to the RV park than normal. Dogs are barking all around us. People have to be awake now and it is only 6:45 am. Rich is a happy camper. Let’s get going!

Stupid as it may sound, we start every new trip with a little Willie Nelson* and the song, “On the Road Again.” Been doing that for 36 years and we ain’t gonna stop now!

Highway 19 North to Interstate 10.

We both love leaving a place after being there for an entire month, seeing what lies ahead of us…
